IEGOR REZNIKOFF, specialist in the art of ancient music
He gives his first concerts of ancient Christian chant in 1975. His original interpretation of this early Chant, has become known world wide. His research has influenced the evolution of the understanding of ancient Chant in particular the Gregorian Chant; he has mastered the great soloist Chant. His research is based on a thorough study of ancient manuscripts and their neumatic notations, comparing them to the great oral and spiritual tradition of the Oriental Christian church and the spiritual traditions of Turkey , Iran and especially India , working with Indian Masters. A specialist in the resonance of ancient and medieval churches as well as paleolithic caves, he has coined the term: “Architectural Sound Heritage” A specialist in Sound Therapy, especially by the sound of the voice, with efficient clinical applications, he has also coined the term “the anthropology of sound” He has been invited by several international festivals in Europe, the USA , China and Japan . Professor in the departments of philosophy and Mathematics at the Paris X University, he teaches in many prestigious Conservatories and religious Communities. He has sang for the Dalai Lama ( Zurich 1991) in Shinto ceremonies for the celebrations of the new millenium (Kyoto 2000) as well as in exceptional sites as the temple of Apollo in Delphi and the Basilica of St Francis of Assisi .
